William Bakewell stars as an inventor who develops a high-powered boat engine. Bakewell, of course, created this wonder machine to benefit mankind-and, incidentally, to win an upcoming motorboat race.
It's just after the Civil War and Captain Morgan and his confederate soldiers are establishing a town on the Bozeman trail. Colonel Strong and his union men are at the nearby fort. Things are peaceful until Riley has the Indians attack a union wagon train and leave a confederate sword at the scene.
To test his wife, Charley's friend puts him up to making a play for her, but she's on to it and pretends she's fallen for him, infuriating the friend.Charley must stay overnight, and unexpected complications put him in the wife's bedroom.
