The story describes a staid and apparently very ordinary Austrian teacher on holiday on the Southern Adriatic coast. The sensation of renewal and refreshment from the sea, sun and salt air is described in physical terms.
Two retired, aging British officers meet in the club of special forces' veterans where they stress their conflicted views about WW2 in the former Yugoslavia. One of them was delegate with the Chetniks, while the other one was with partisans.
The film speaks of student demonstrations in Belgrade, 1969 and of the critical quality, enthusiasm and discipline of this form of protest.
